def: The absence of separation. The Truth of being.
Where is the boundary between me and anything else, scientifically? Where is the boundary between anything, scientifically? The closer I look for a definite boundary, the more it fades away, until I have to admit that there is no boundary that is not arbitrarily chosen in my mind.
I can never be separate. Because nothing is separate. Everything is one thing. I can only believe it’s separate. And when I do, I introduce excitement and adventure and play…and also the very conditions for my suffering.
But it’s all imagined. Separation is a dream. A story.
When I understand that oneness is the Truth of being, I wake up from my nightmares and return to the perfectly kind stillness and safety of reality.
