“Ask and it shall be given…” One Interpretation.

 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find [it]; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” - Matthew 7:7

The important thing is “it.”

“It” is “God’s loving kindness.” Benevolent reality. The whole, complete and peaceful “what is.” 

Ask [for anything], and God’s loving kindness will be given to you. 

Even if it shows up as the opposite of what you’re asking for. 

Seek [anything] and you will find God’s loving kindness. 

Even if it shows up as the opposite of what you’re seeking. 

Knock [on any door] and the door to God’s loving kindness will be opened to you. 

Even if it’s a door on the opposite side of the street and down the block from the one you’re knocking on.
