Our “real life” is already virtual reality.
ACTUAL reality lies beyond our limited senses’ ability to report, and so, from within, our minds arbitrarily make meaning of - and layer over to fill the gaps between - all the limited information that comes in through our limited senses.
Meaning the world is only ever happening between our ears.
Meaning “the real world” is already just imagined.
Meaning it’s already not real.
And already “enhanced” with man-made additions.
What I love about the metaverse is that it’s just taking what’s already happening one step further and maybe it’ll have the effect of helping us see that we don’t need to meet “the real world” with anything but joy, knowing it’s all just a dream of our own making.
