It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s respect.

It’s impossible to earn anyone’s else’s respect. (Because I do not control what someone else respects.)

For the same reason...

  • It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s support.

  • It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s admiration.

  • It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s acceptance

  • It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s approval.

  • It’s impossible to earn anyone else’s love

...Because, just like me, other people respect what they respect, support what they support, admire what they admire, accept what they accept, approve of what they approve of and love what they love because of THEM not because of me. Because they, like me, understand everything through the filter of their own stories, not my actions. All of their stories originate within them, not from outside them.

If I want these things, I can give up on earning them from other people and learn to give them to myself. It’s the only way to get them. It’s the only way I’ve ever gotten them. I only thought they were being granted by others. I was confused.

I rejoice in the knowledge that, like all things, these things come from within. And so I have the entire universe’s full supply of respect, support, admiration, acceptance, approval and love available to me at all times. When I am sane, I can grant them to myself in extravagant abundance whenever I wish.
